ONLINE EDGE LEADERSHIP TRAINING

Thank you so much for your feedback from Lesson 4

Welcome to our online Edge leadership training

  • I trust you got something good out of our last lesson on creating a Vision statement

  • In this lesson I’m going to be speaking about creating a Mission statement

Hopefully the Vision Statement you are working on is short, clear, and concise

  • The mission statement is going to be more of a developed plan or strategic plan.

  • Your mission is your road map of how you’re going to get from point A to point B

Here is your homework for lesson 5

Obviously the mission plan will be slightly different for our departments such as men, ladies, youth and sunday schools as compared to our service departments such as helps, greeters, ushers and hospitality.

I have included examples for both

Begin to jot down all the things that you will need to do to reach your vision

  • This can be as simple or as detailed as you like

  • Then take a piece of paper and make 4 columns and write across the top 3 months, 1 yrs, 5yrs, 10yr

  • Now begin by putting in the things you need to accomplish in the next 3 months

  • Then by putting in the things you need to accomplish in the next year

  • Then by putting in the things you need to accomplish in the next 5 years

  • Then by putting in the things you need to accomplish in the next 10 years

I don’t expect you to do this alone. Let’s get writing and if you get stuck at all please let me know I am here to help.

Please complete and submit this part of  lesson.
When we receive your homework, we will send you the next leadership lesson link.
We are looking forward to seeing what God has revealed to you in His Word and through this Study.

As disciples we don't always need more information but we need new revelation from God. Is there a certain part of the teaching that you loved, that stood out for you or you felt God was giving you insight into it?
Discipleship is all about learning God says. What was something new that you learnt in this lesson?
Putting God's word into practice is the greatest thing we can do. Was there a lesson, a principle or a promise that you can put into practice in your life?
The greatest part of discipleship is taking what you have learnt and sharing it with someone else. What part of this lesson could you pass on to others?
If there are any questions or queries about this lesson or regarding the school of ministry please feel free to ask.
