Day 17

24th Feb

Daniel 10:1 NIV In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel (who was called Belteshazzar). Its message was true and it concerned a great war. The understanding of the message came to him in a vision.

Daniel 10:2 NIV At that time I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks.

Daniel 10:3 NIV I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips; and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.

Daniel 10:4 NIV On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was standing on the bank of the great river, the Tigris,

Daniel 10:5 NIV I looked up and there before me was a man dressed in linen, with a belt of the finest gold around his waist.

We have modelled our 21 Days of prayer and fasting on the story of Daniel.

  • I love the story of Daniel because it gives us great insight into how God works when it comes to prayer and fasting.

  • There are two sides to the coin of prayer and fasting.

  • On the one side we see.

Daniel 10:12 NIV Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.

  • The minute you start praying God responds.

  • Today we have what is called instant messages.

  • The minute you type up your message and press send it is received instantly by the corresponding person.

  • This is how prayer works, there is no time delays, so we never have to fear or wonder if God has heard us.

  • The minute you pray God hears.

  • The minute you pray God responds.

Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

  • God wants to respond to your prayers with a great and mighty response.

1 John 5:14 NKJV Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

1 John 5:15 NKJV And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

  • God wants you to have great confidence that he will not only answer your prayers but that he hears us.

  • Aren’t you glad that God is not deaf, not does he suffer from selective deafness?

  • When we pray according to his will, his word, he hears us, because he hears us, we can be confident that he will give us what we pray for.

  • Tomorrow we will deal with the flip side of the coin.

So, grab the prayer goals that you have written out and begin to declare what God says about your situation.

As you begin to declare breakthrough in that area God will begin to establish your prayers in the spirit realm.

Tonight at 6pm we will be having a ZOOM prayer meeting the link is below
