Biblical Giving

God established the principle of giving a tithe that was 10% of all the increase. The Israelites gave this to the temple for the support of the Priests and Levites and the support of the Temple. They tithed 10% of their income.

The Tithe is based upon these principles Principle of Stewardship

Tithing recognises God as the owner, we are faithful stewards of all of the resources God has given us. That is why the tithe is not given but returned to the owner. Duet 8:18, Duet 10:14, 1 Ch 29:11-14, Luke 16: 1-2, 10-13.

Principle of First

The Tithe is a biblical principle that says the first of everything belongs to God. When we honour God with our first and best, God blesses the rest. Lev 27:26-30, Proverbs 3:9-10, Matthew 6:33

Test of Faith

Tithing requires faith and trust believing that as we give to God with our resources, God will supernaturally bless our resources . Malachi 3:8-10
As a church we believe that the tithe belongs to God and is for the purpose of blessing the local church you belong to, so that there may be resources to fulfil the vision and purposes of God.

Offerings

The offering is a kingdom principle to provide help to people and bless others. As a church the three main areas where people can bless and be a blessing to others is through our heart for the House, heart for the nations and through our First Fruits.

In the New Testament, offerings were collected from churches to support missionaries like Paul and to provide for the church in Jerusalem that was in famine and facing persecution.

The principle of seed

2Co 9:6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
2Co 9:7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

CONSIDER THIS: As each family faithfully brings in their tithes and offerings each week, we would ask you to consider giving a weekly amount to our :

Heart
For the house (Building Fund)
For the Nations (Missions)

Our Annual First Fruit

This is a kingdom principle of honour In September of each year we take up our annual First Fruits Miracle Offering. The first fruits was one of the greatest faith filled offering that they would give, once off, each year to honour God. Whatever came in first was given to God and God would bless all the rest of their herds, the fruit of their vines and the grain throughout the next year

Pro 3:9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops;
Pro 3:10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

We see this fulfilled in the NT

Rom 11:16 If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.
When you bring in the First Fruit, our first and best, God says that He will bless the rest .

SETTING UP A RECURRING OFFERING IS THE BEST WAY TO GIVE FAITHFULLY AND CONSISTENTLY
